About

I work with small businesses, social enterprises and entrepreneurs, to create authentic photography, branding and design, that will attract people to your brand or cause.

I’m based in Manchester, UK, and able to travel across the North West and Yorkshire.

I run my business ethically. That means I’m committed to an ethical policy, I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and I love working with other socially-conscious organisations.

WORK

With over twelve years’ experience in photography, branding and graphic design, I work freelance for a number of great clients including small businesses and local entrepreneurs as well as regularly for Manchester-based charity, The Message.

My documentary work is often about presenting the world from an unfamiliar point of view, and building bridges where there is misunderstanding and division. I focus on matters of community, social justice and women’s rights, often working in deprived communities with the Eden Network around the UK.

EDUCATION

2019. MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London.

2007. BA (Hons) Visual Communication, Grays School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

LIFE

I’m currently based in Manchester, which I love for its creativity, radical spirit and northern soul. I fell in love with photography whilst living in Shetland, where the light is divine, and I still consider the islands home in many ways. I love the sea, ceilidhs, art galleries, sand between my toes, board games and beautiful typography.
